Real-life presidential aspirants and their supporters have been encouraging people to vote. Now, a fictional former president, Veep‘s Selina Meyer, is making her voice heard.
In a short video released Friday, Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, in character as Meyer, explains the importance of voting in terms of her fictional presidential defeat. The fifth season of HBO’s Emmy-winning comedy looked at events that followed an Electoral College tie, with President Meyer ultimately losing the White House.
