St. Louis Regional Chamber announces Arcus award winners | Business

The St. Louis Regional Chamber on Thursday recognized what it describes as the area’s “most inspirational leaders and companies.” Arcus Awards were presented in 11 categories.

Accenture won the Corporate Citizenship Award. Accenture St. Louis was recognized for dedicating one week per month to volunteer work as part of its global citizenship initiative, Skills to Succeed. The company continued its partnership with LaunchCode helping future coders at LaunchCoderGirl and Mentor Center events. Accenture also works with Covenant House and Better Family Life on job readiness programs and computer lab upgrades.

St. Louis University School of Law Legal Clinics and ArchCity Defenders shared the St. Louis Spirit Award.  The SLU civil litigation clinic and ArchCity Defenders were honored for their efforts to reform the region’s municipal court system by filing lawsuits, negotiating settlements and monitoring structural reforms. That work, the Chamber said, has made St. Louis a “more conscious, just and compassionate region.”
