Activity for seniorsto feature 3-D cards

SIDNEY — Linda Fulghum will present a workshop Wednesday on making three- dimensional greeting cards for the Tri-County Seniors. Each person will make three cards to take home along with envelopes. Area seniors are invited to attend from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Tri-County Senior room at the Sidney Civic Center. A $2 donation is requested to cover expenses. Call Carol at 563-8065 by Monday to preregister.

Tri-County Seniors will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the senior room. David Reynolds, certified respiratory therapist, will speak about the Better Breathers Club he will be starting for area residents with respiratory ailments. Plans for future events will also be discussed. All area seniors are invited and encouraged to attend. 

Easter dinner set for Delaware seniors

HAMDEN — Delaware Opportunities will serve Easter dinner at 11:45 a.m. on Good Friday, April 14, at all senior dining centers. The suggested donation for the ham dinner is $4. Those with incomes over 185 percent of poverty level are encouraged to pay the full cost of the meal ($7.38). Reservations are needed by April 13. A fish dinner may be ordered in advance from the following individual Senior Dining centers: Margaretville, (845) 586-4767; Delhi, 746-2250; Grand Gorge, 588-6166; Hancock,  637-2219; Sidney, 563-2212 and Walton, 865-6739. Contact Senior Dining Program Director Rick Angerer  at 746-1710 for more information.

Delhi nursing students to host health fair

DELHI — The State University College of Technology at Delhi’s School of Nursing will host a Senior Citizen Health Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27 in the community room of the Delhi Senior Community housing center at 7 Main St. in Delhi.
