Diamond engagement ring stolen
A $4,400 engagement ring was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Bonnie Blue Lane, its owner told police March 1.
She called police after multiple attempts to find it failed. Police said the owner believes it was stolen in November 2016. No sign of forced entry was found.
The police report was needed by the woman to pursue insurance coverage of the loss.
The ring was made of white gold and featured a radiant cut brilliant diamond.
Retail theft charge
Police say that John Pandelios, 22, of the first block of Nelson Manor Lane, has been charged for failing to repay $750 to a township resident who thought she was buying a mobile home from him.
When the buyer discovered Pandelios had actually sold the residence to an area mobile home dealer, she demanded that her money be returned, police said.
When Pandelios did not meet a deadline of March 2 to return the victim’s money, police filed the charge of retail theft. Police noted that although they have not been able to locate Pandelios, they are proceeding with the case.
DUI charge for woman
Jodi Sheetz, 38, of the 100 block of North Second Street, Bainbridge, has been charged with DUI, fleeing/attempting to elude office, careless driving, reckless endangering, speeding and failure to signal when turning.
Sheetz was taken into custody at 10:39 a.m. March 5 in the 900 block of West Harrisburg Pike, according to records in the office of District Justice Michael Smith.
She was driving a 1996 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck at the time and was stopped during the area police department’s speed control detail. Although the official police report about the arrest did not have the full details, the arrest involved a pursuit.
District Magisterial Court records state Sheetz was arraigned March 5 before District Justice Michael Zozos. Records as of March 8 also noted she had been placed in Dauphin County Prison after failing to post $5,000 in cash bail set by Zozos.
