It’s almost here! The Ann Boyd Wade Fine Art and Photography Show will be open to the public Friday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., as well as Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Willcox Community Center, 312 W. Stewart.
On Saturday, the public is invited to the Artists’ Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Yolanda van der Lelij, a local artist, will be this year’s honored artist. The Willcox High School String Orchestra and Earl Goolsby, pianist, will provide the evening’s music. Raffle prizes will be awarded during the reception. Julie Sasse, PhD, is the chief curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block, encompassing an entire city block in historic downtown Tucson, and features original and traveling exhibitions focusing on Art of Latin America, Art of the American West, Modern and Contemporary Art and Asian Art.
Joanne Stuhr has more than 30 years of professional experience with museum and arts management services. As a respected art historian and curator, she has worked with major museums in the Southwest, California, New York, Mexico and Europe, curating and coordinating exhibitions. She has written, edited and contributed essays to numerous books and publications in her areas of expertise.
