Why sit home because you don’t want to spend any money? Here are five things you can do that cost nothing at all.


Head over to the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary by offering free admission all day long. While you’re looking at the art, enjoy live music, photo booths, games, art projects and more. This is cool, really. It does not include free admission to the Pageant of the Masters. Note that there are three art festivals in Laguna – make sure you’re going to the one next to the Laguna Playhouse. The free admission is only good Sunday, Aug. 13. Bring the kids to the Laguna Niguel Promenade Aug. 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a Mad Science show, Sylvan robotics demonstration, merchant specials, music, photo booth and more. On the patio between Papa John’s and Art & Frame Warehouse. No purchase necessary. 27891 La Paz Road, Laguna Niguel.
